Ray Raymond v. Territory of Washington. Summons

To any constable and to the keeper of the jail, of said county whereas, Ray Raymond of said county has been brought before the undersigned Justices of the Peace in & for said County charged on the oath of W.D. Gillespie with having on the 26th day of June A.D. 1886, in said county and territory committed the offense of murder in the first degree and in the progress of the examination of said Ray Raymond upon said charge it appearing to said justice that there is probable cause for charging the said Ray Raymond with the commission of the crime of murder in the first degree, committed at the time and place aforesaid and that the proof is evidence and the presentation great that said defendant is guilty of said offence of murder in the first degree therefore in the name of the United States you the said constable are hereby commanded forthwith to convoy and deliver the said Ray Raymond to the keeper of the jail of said Spokane County and you, the said keeper of the jail of Spokane County Washington Territory are here commanded to receive into   the said Ray Raymond into your custody in said jail and then & there safely keep until she be discharged by due course of law, given under our hands this second day of July A.D. 1886

This cause coming on to be heard on the return of the sheriff to the writ of Habeas Corpus heretofore issued and on the evidence offered for the plaintiff and defendant, and having been argued by counsel and the court being fully advised in the premises it is ordered that the defendant be admitted to bail in the amount of Five Thousand dollars and that in the meantime she be be committed to the custody of the sheriff.
