In the matter of the application of Ray Raymond for a writ of Habeas Corpus Territory of Washington County of Spokane} ss

The people of the United States to E.F. Whittier, sheriff & keeper of the jail of Spokane County. In the name of the people of the United States we command you that you have the body of Ray Raymond by you imprisoned and detained as it is said together with the time & cause of said imprisonment & detention by whatsoever name said Ray Raymond shall be called & charged before Hon George Turner Judge of the district court – of the 4th Judicial District of Washington Territory holding terms at county dist. of Spokane County, Territory of Washington, at his chambers in Spokane Falls, Washington Territory, on Tuesday the 6th day of July   1886 – at the hour of 1 o'clock p.m. to do and receive what shall then & there be under concerning the said Ray Raymond and have you then and there this writ.

Witness Hon. George Turner Judge of the District Court of the 4th Judicial District of Washington Territory at chambers in the city of Spokane Falls aforesaid – this 6th day of July 1886.
