Rebuttal

C.S. Penfield Called

I am County Courner, Held an Inquest on thee body of James Finch on the morning June 26/86 Had minutes kept, Ruby Stanley testified before the jury, I know the form of oath I administered, I swore the witness to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth, testimony was reduced to writing and was not read to her and she did not examine it, I dont know as I can remember all I put the usual question I am willing to swear that I asked her to tell all that she knew about the case, her testimony undertook to give full account of the trasaction, She testified she saw the whole transaction

I held the iquest Saturday Morning June 16th Spokane Falls Spokane Cy at the star house She was sworn to tell the truth the whole truth & nothing but the truth then she was asked relate to the jury all that she knew concerning the case & this writitng Contains the sustance of all she said on that occasion I simply asked her if that was all she knew about the case   she said it was

I administered to Ruby Stanley the usual oath on that occasion, these are the minutes taken at the trial but then written out afterward the only change in this and the original was simply to fill out sentences the substance is the same
