To the Sheriff of Lincoln County, Greeting:

IN THE NAME OF THE UNITED STATES, You are hereby commanded to summon S.L. Short to be and appear before the District Court aforesaid at the Court House, in Cheney, in said County, on the forthwith day of A.D. 1885, at o'clock, M. to there give evidence in the above entitled cause on the part of said Defendant S.P. White

Witness the Hon. George Turner Associate Judge of the Supreme Court of Washington Territory, and Judge of said Court, and the Seal thereof affixed, this 17 day of April A.D. 1885
