To the Sheriff of Lincoln County, Greeting:

IN THE NAME OF THE UNITED STATES, You are hereby commanded to summon F. M. Spencer and J.H. Hart to be and appear before the District Court apear[?] at the Court House, in Cheney, in said County, on the forthwith day of April A.D. 1885, at o'clock, M., to there give evidence in the above entitled cause on the part of said Defendant.

Witness the Hon. George Turner Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Washington Territory, and Judge of said Court, and the Seal thereof affixed, this 20 day of April A.D. 1885
