In the district Court of the Territory of Washington for the First Fourth Judicial Disctrict thereof, holding terms at Cheney, Spokane County, in said Territory:

To the Sheriff of Lincoln County, Greeting:

In the name of the United States, You are hereby commanded to summon J.R. Short to be and appear before the District Court aforesaid at the Court House, in Cheney, in said County, on the forthwith day of April A.D. 1885 at o'clock [] M., to there give evidence in the above entitled cause on the part of said Defendant S.P. White

Witness Hon. George Turner Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Washington Territory, and Judge of said Court, and the seal thereof affixed, this 17 day of April A.D. 1885
