THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, TO WILLIAM BILLINGS. SHERIFF OF THURSTON COUNTY. GREETING;

WE COMMAND YOU THAT YOU HAVE THE BODY OF SID; HOWARD, BY YOU IMPRISONED AND DETAINED, AS IT IS SAID, TOGETHER WITH THE TIME AND CAUSE OF SUCH IMPRISONMENT AND DETENTION, BY WHATSOEVER NAME SAID SID. HOWARD SHALL BE CALLED, OR CHARGED, BEFORE JOHN P. HOYT, ASSOCIATE JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE TERRITORY OF WASHINGTON, AT THE COURT ROOM IN THE CITY OF OLYMPIA, COUNTY OF THURSTON, AND TERRITORY AFORESAID, ON THE 13 DAY OF MAY A.D. 1884 AT THE HOUR OF THREE O'CLOCK IN THE AFTER-NOON OF THAT DAY, TO DO AND RECEIVE WHAT SHALL THEN AND THERE BE CONSIDERED CONCERNING THE SAID SID. HOWARD. AND HAVE YOU THEN AND THERE THIS WRIT:

WITNESS THE HON. JOHN P. HOYT, ASSOCOATE JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE TERRITORY OF WASHINGTON, AND THE SEAL OF SAID COURT, THIS 13TH DAY OF MAY A.D. 1884.
