John T. Sheehan being first duly sworn on oath says that he is Sheriff of Jefferson County, W.T. and he is the same person to whom the attached writ of Habeas Corpus is directed and service of which was made upon him in the City of Port Townsend Nov. 22nd 1888 and makes this his return therto as follows:
That he has in his custody the following named persons in said writ to wit John Dohran held as Frederick Dohn, Frank Koff held as Frank Keef; William Darren; William Tatterman held as Wm Tottleman; Thomas Stuart; and G. Fitzgerald held as William Fitzgerald. That he holds and detains the said above named persons in his custody by virtue of a committment duly issued out of the Justice Court for Port Townsend Precinct Jefferson County by J J H Van Bokkellen a Justice of the Peace dated May 28 188 a true copy of said writ of committment is hereto attached and made part of this retrun, the original of said writ being now in my possession in court
That he herewith produce the said above persons in court.
That as to Ed Olson, and also Harry Simpson committed as H. Simons named in said Writ of Habeas Corpus says that he has not now, nor had he at the time of service of said writ, the said Olson or Simpson in his custody, they the said Olson and Simpson having given bail and now are at liberty
