In the District Court of the First Judicial District of Washington Territory holding terms at Walla Walla City for the Counties of Walla Walla and Columbia

In the name of the United States greetings

To William A. Church and Martha Church you are hereby commanded that you have the body of Maty Wells by you imprisoned and illegally detained and restrained of her liberty as it is said Together with the terms and cause of such imprisonment, detention and and restraint of her liberty by whatsoever name the said Maty Wells shall be called or charged[?] before the above entitled cause on Monday the 19 day of December 1877 at 10 o'clock AM of said day at the court house in the city of Walla Walla County of Walla Walla WT to do and [?] what shall then and there be considered concerning the said Maty Wells and have you then said [?] [?] writ

By order made by the court this November 28th 1877
