William A Church being first duly sworn says that he is one of the defendants above that Martha Church the other of said defendants is the wife of affiant that said defendant Martha Church is now confined to her bed that in December 2 1877 said Martha was taken down in child birth and that the said Matty Wells is attending to her mother and affiant shows that said Matty Wells will be in attendance upon the court on the 4th day of December 1877 at the hour of 3 o'clock PM
