In the District Court of the First Jusdicial District of Washington Territory holding terms at Walla Walla City the Counties of Walla Walla and Columbia

Joseph Wells Plff vs William A Church & Martha Church Defts

And now on this the 25th day of November 1877 comes the Plff by his atty J H Laseter and moves the court to have the above entitled cause be now entered upon the docket of this court and that a writ of Habeas Corpus be issued by order of the court to the above named Defts to bring into this court the body of Maty Wells as prayed for in the complaint herewith filed
