Habeas Corpus At Chambers Jany 2 1867

And now Mrs. MJ Whitesides this day in persuance of the Writ appears at this Court produces the person of Louisa Jane Derrick into Court and after a full hearing by the Court and [?] into the facts and circumstances of the case it satisfactorily offering that to said Mrs. M J Whitesides is exercising no illegal or improper restraint over the said Louisa Jane Derrick the said Mrs. M J Whitesides is discharged from the Writ and it further appearing to the Court that the said Louisa Jane Derrick is a minor being about fifteen years of age and hence is subject to the custody care and control of her Father the Plaintiff Andrew H Derrick and after a free investigation it appears that her said Father is a suitable person to have the care custody and control of his said daughter   Louisa Jane Derrick it is accordingly nowhere considered and ordered and decreed.

That A Sidel Sheriff of Walla Walla County deliver the said Father his daughter Louisa Jane Derrick to the end that he may exercise that care and control over her habits associations and education that he has a right to exercise by lest the laws of nature and the laws of the land

And it is further order that the said Ms. M J Whitesides by agents servants and employees[?] be restraint from interfering in any maner With the said Louisa Jane Derrick or the right of her said Father [?] care and custody.

And it is further ordered that the Defendant pay the costs she has made in this hearing and the Plaintiff pay all other costs to be taxed by the clerk
