To James A Felps Jailor of St Louis County Greeting:

You are Commanded to have the body of Nancy Martin alias Nancy Belle Miller before the Law Commissioner Court of St Louis County forthwith, together with the time & cause of her detention by you to do and receive what shall then and there be adjudged concerning said Nancy Martin alias Nancy Belle Miller who as alleged in the annexed petitioner is illegally restrained of her liberty by you and have you then & there this writ with your return thereon

Given under my hand & the seal of said Court at office in St Louis Aug 11th 1856
