On November 20, 1922, Edgar I. Fuller filed for habeas against his wife, Helen S. Fuller, and her mother, Mrs. Stina Sorensen, over the custody of their 4 1/2-year-old daughter, Helen Dorothy Fuller. Mr. Fuller argued that he and Mrs. Fuller had married in Utah in June of 1915 and are current residents of California, and on November 5, 1922, Mrs. Fuller took the child to her mother's in Omaha and is refusing Mr. Fuller access to the child. Upon return of the issued writ, Mrs. Fuller argued that Mr. Fuller had treated her cruelly and in an inhumane manner, that she had issued a divorce in Omaha, and that Mr. Fuller had never provided support for their child. On November 21, the writ was dismissed upon an agreement made, and the 1930 census shows Helen living with her mother and grandmother. Note: Mr. Fuller was a officer in the KKK.
