Tony Branchi claimed to have been unlawfully detained by Felix J. Mcshane, Henry Schroeder, Henry W. Dunn, Stephan Maloney, Michaell O. Dempsey when he filed a writ of habeas corpus on November 23rd, 1915. He was detained under suspicion of violating parole that was given in the State of Pennsylvania. He claimed that he was forcibly removed from the state of his parole by Pennsylvania authorities in order to incriminate him. Therefore he was not a fugitive of the law under Nebraska statutes. The writ was allowed and he was released from custody.
